Knauf Circular® provides users of EPS products – industrials firms, retail sector, insulation installation contractors, recycling centres, etc. – with an on-site collection service of their own EPS waste from packaging or insulation materials. A guarantee for all users that their EPS waste will be recycled in a responsible programme, rolled out by the Knauf group, the world leader in EPS processing.
Knauf Circular® guarantees the recycling of the collected waste and its recovery into new polystyrene products: building insulation, technical parts for industry and agriculture, other everyday products made in France or Europe. Knauf Circular® thus ensures their entry into a circular economy.
Either the collected waste is crushed and recycled in closed-loop at our 18 processing plants, or it is crushed, compacted and then sent locally to recyclers or partner companies. It is then recycled in Europe in an open loop. In both cases, your offcuts will be recycled into new everyday polystyrene products, new technical parts for industry and agriculture, or new building insulation.
You will adopt responsible behaviour, ensuring sustainable management of your EPS waste, in compliance with current circular economy regulations. You will help reduce waste, landfill and illegal dumping.
Knauf Circular® offers a unique local service to its customers, with 18 plants dedicated to the recycling of EPS waste, for a complete nationwide network.
You contribute to the fight against waste, burial and uncontrolled landfilling and avoid an ultimate solution such as incineration.
Through the KNAUF CIRCULAR® service, the KNAUF group collects EPS waste (other than that arising from deconstruction) from its own products and those of competitors, for recycling purposes.
The material wholesaler signs an expanded polystyrene recycling agreement with Knauf Circular® with a view to collecting clean EPS waste in bulk from its customers, construction contractors, and ensuring that it is taken back and recycled by Knauf.
